Is a celebrant-led wedding ceremony legal?
Currently, in England & Wales, a celebrant is not permitted to perform any legal registration of a marriage. Rather like the registering of a birth or death, you can have the legal part of the ceremony arranged through a quick and simple register office service, (cost is usually around £60) then your beautiful ceremony is made bespoke to you by your celebrant. This allows your ceremony to be in any place that you want and at a time and date you set.
Just separate the legal administration from your wonderful wedding day to have your dream ceremony.
Where can we have our ceremony?
Wedding ceremonies can be conducted at any time, any place, anywhere. It can be on licensed or unlicensed premises because there is no legal paperwork being completed at the time. This makes choosing a venue that is right for you more simple and opens the door to your choices from up a mountain, inside a forest to more formal venues, or even your favourite pub or family garden.
There is no restriction on time as I only book one wedding/Vow renewal per day, you can choose early morning, as the sun is setting, or a moonlight event. You are not restricted by legalities with a celebrant-led service, you can have what you want.
Who writes the ceremony?
I write a beautiful bespoke script for you. I meet with you (either face-to-face or online) to discuss your day. We discuss your history and what is important to you. Your love story, the ups and downs, and why you are wanting to marry. So that your ceremony reflects this,
the words in your ceremony should be unique to you and we will have fun creating them.
Can pets attend?
Pets can be the most important guests at your ceremony and therefore, we welcome and love to include them. We will need to check with your venue also welcomes pets.
